Wilma Arlene (Jones) Keller, age 91 passed away on April 6, 2019 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. She was born on a farm south of Wymore on June 28, 1927 to Robert H. and Alice (Hughes) Jones. She attended Rural School District 104 and later Wymore High School where she graduated in 1945. Wilma worked for Purdy Insurance and Real Estate, Store Kraft Mfg. and Wymore grain elevator as a bookkeeper.\nOn April 19, 1949 she married Vincent Keller at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Rural Wymore. They farmed near Bremen, KS, Blue Springs and Barneston areas before purchasing a farm south of Beatrice that became known as the "Hogs are Beautiful" farm. They were very active in farming and livestock promotion. Vince and Wilma were members of Blue Valley Pork Producers and she served as the president of the area and the state Porkettes.\nShe belonged to the Wymore Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School for many years and was a deacon. She was a member of the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project, Spring Valley Neighborhood Club, and was a charter member of West Blue Extension Club. Her hobbies were quilting (making graduation quilts for her children and grandchildren along with quilts for great grandchildren), reading, playing cards, and vegetable and flower gardening.\nShe is survived by her children, Brad Keller of Beatrice, Barb Vitosh and husband Darrell of Odell, Kathy Hurtz and husband Mike of Richmond, VA, Amy Ruyle and husband Tom of Beatrice, and Rob Keller and wife Terri of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Jason (Stacey) Vitosh, Kate (Brandon) Vossler, Jared (Jenna) Vitosh, Jeremy (Ruffin) Powell, Nathan (Katy) Hurtz, Matthew (Stephanie) Hurtz, Derek (Jenny) Ruyle, Tyler (Sara) Ruyle, Joshua Keller, Alicen Keller, Seth Keller, and Sarah Keller; great grandchildren, Leslie, Will & Emily Vitosh, Mason, Kellen & Addison Vossler, Andrew & Henry Vitosh, Archer Powell, Elliana Hurtz, and Teddy Ruyle, sisters-in-law, Peggy Jones of Northfield, MN and Adelaide Keller of Borger, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Keller (2006); parents, Rob and Alice Jones; brothers, Everett Jones and Gerald Jones; sisters, Blodwyn Jones, Ethel Armstrong, and Doris Hall.\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Wymore United Presbyterian Church with Jim McNeal officiating. A family prayer service will begin at 1:45 PM. Burial will be at the Bethel Cemetery south of Wymore. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service Saturday. A memorial has been established to the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project and the Bethel Cemetery with the funeral home in charge.
