Walter Edmond

–

Wymore, Nebraska

Walter Louis Edmond, Jr., affectionately known as Wally, graced this world with his presence on October 25, 1949 and departed us peacefully surrounded by his family on October 28, 2026. A man of many talents and endless generosity, Wally was a direct caregiver and Med-Aide at BSDC and Wymore Good Samaritan, where his supportive nature touched countless lives. His humor brought smiles to those around him, and his talent for music led him to form the band "Full Moon Prophecy" with his sons, showcasing his love for creativity and family. Wally's life was a symphony of adventures, from writing fiction, poetry, and a children's book to recording a music album. He was a DJ for weddings and events. He was an avid fan of watching his girls play softball. He liked to watch golf, tennis, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and collecting. His faith, though not traditionally practiced, resonated in his kind acts and the way he cherished his family, particularly his children and grandchildren. Wally's life was a testament to living fully and giving wholeheartedly. He lived several vastly different lives, but all were marked with love and friendship.

He leaves behind his children, Sheila Sutton of Beatrice, Jodi (Carl) Smith of Georgia, Paul Edmond (special friend, Kim Scrivner) of Beatrice, Keith (Brandi) Edmond of Weeping Water, John (Whitney) Edmond of Lincoln, and Ellie Edmond-Quave (William) of Fort Hood, TX; step-daughter, Kaylee Spier of Wymore; grandchildren, David Sutton, Ashley Sutton, James Sutton, Christian Edmond, Joslyn Edmond, Jake Edmond, Weston Edmond, Bo Edmond, Addie Edmond, Julie Bates, John Edmond, Jr., Merrillie Edmond, Kenton Edmond, Treyson Quave, and Juniper Ramsey; great grandchildren, Mary Adkins, Allison Burr, Wells Edmond, Finley Edmond, Link Edmond, and one on the way; great great grandson, Tatum Hereth; mother, Marie Delores (Arena) Edmond; siblings, Larry (Cathy) Edmond, Sherri Edmond (Scott) Freedman; and Terri Edmond (Willie) Lucas. He is also survived by his former wives and dear friends, Donna Edmond and Pamela (Spier) Edmond, with whom he shared a lasting friendship. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter L. Edmond, Sr.; daughter, Melissa Edmond; and first wife Carol Edmond Reich.
