Viola Mae (Ozeretny) Roschewski-Stepan, 86 years of age of Lincoln, passed away at Holmes Lake Manor on Saturday, April 27, 2019. She was born on August 9, 1932 in Beatrice to Peter and Dorothy (Schank) Ozeretny. Viola married Earl Roschewski on December 12, 1947 and they moved to Lewiston in 1960. To this union they had two sons and two daughters. She was employed at Campbell Soup in Tecumseh for over 30 years, retiring as an employee trainer in 1990. Earl passed away in 1999. Viola married Lloyd Stepan on January 1, 2005. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, R. Beatrice; American Legion and VFW Auxiliary; and the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union, AFL & CIO & C/C Local 271. Viola enjoyed doing crafts, garage sales, flea markets, and having her grandchildren around.\nSurvivors include husband Lloyd of Lincoln; children David Earl Roschewski of Breckenridge, TX, Vickie Mae McKown of Calhoun, GA, and Julie Marie Robertson and husband Tim of Durango, CO; daughter-in-law Shirley Roschewski of Virginia, NE; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Earl; son Michael Wayne; and sister Betty Lou Everly.\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 5142 E. Sargent Road, Beatrice with Reverend Charles Bentjen officiating. Interment in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. The body will lie in state Wednesday from 10:00-8:00 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice and at the church one hour preceding the funeral on Thursday. The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 PM at Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 AM on Thursday at the church. A memorial has been established to the church with the funeral home in charge.
