Tami Kaye Best-Highstreet, age 63 entered into her Heavenly home on October 22, 2021. She was born in Beatrice on November 1, 1957 to Richard and Natalie (Goin) Best. She graduated from Beatrice High School and earned her Associates in Accounting from Southeast Community College in Beatrice. On March 22, 2002, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Highstreet. Tami enjoyed reading biographical books, gardening, cross-stitching, creating marketing and publishing works, and spending time with her grandchildren.\nThose left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Heather A. Phillips and Cassie M. Walters of Lincoln; grandchildren, Anthony Tyler of Omaha, Mariah Willey, Shamar Willey, and Cameron Willey of Lincoln, Brittany (Mykeil) Garcia-Heilig of Lincoln, and Tieryn VanOsdel of Gulfport, MS; great grandchildren, Bryeil and Brynlee Garcia-Heilig and Amaiah Annelise Smith Patterson; sister, Jamie Sue Fuller and husband Mark of Beatrice; 2 nieces; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jeffrey Highstreet; and sister, Terri Ann Best.\nA memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on November 27, 2021 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral in Wymore with Jon Palmquist officiating. Interment of ashes will be at the Liberty Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family's choice for future designation with the funeral home in charge.
