Roy R Abrams Jr Obituary (1954 - 2014)

Roy R. Abrams Jr., 59 years of age, of R. Wymore passed away unexpectedly at the Beatrice Community Hospital Sunday morning, January 5, 2014. He was born on December 26, 1954 in Beatrice to Roy R. and Virgie (Johnson) Abrams Sr. and lived in the Beatrice and Wymore area his entire life. Roy was a 1973 graduate of Beatrice High School and a 1975 graduate of Southeast Community College in Milford, NE. Roy and April Johnson were married on November 3, 1978 in Beatrice. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working with his cattle, playing with his dogs, race car driving in Beatrice, and skypeing with his grandchildren. Survivors his wife April; daughter Christina Jones and husband Jimmy of Fairbury; son Benjamin Hartwig and wife Heather of El Paso, TX; 4 grandchildren Gabrielle Jones, Derek, Zack, and Xander Hartwig; and mother Virgie Abrams of Beatrice. He was preceded in death by his father Roy R. Abrams Sr.; and sisters Linda and Connie. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 10,, 2014 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with Reverend Doyle Karst officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
