Rose "Ginger" Perry-Twyford Obituary (1942 - 2014)

Rose "Ginger" Perry-Twyford, 71 years of age of Beatrice passed away at the St. Elizabeth Regional Health Center in Lincoln Sunday morning, January 5, 2014. She was born on August 21, 1942 at Topeka, Kansas to Joseph and Aileen (Oswald) Etzel and graduated from Hayden High School in Topeka. Rose did complete some college courses and had been employed by a hospital in Topeka in the business office for 17 years. Rose and Clyde H. Perry were married on October 16, 1960. He passed away in 1990. She moved to Beatrice from Lincoln in 2005. Rose enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her special companion for over 20 years Melvyn Twyford of Beatrice; children William Perry and wife Kim of Goddard, KS, Shannon Ottersberg and husband Keith of Wymore, and Shelly Perry of Beatrice; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Westlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Topeka, KS with Jon Palmquist officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
