Dr. Robert E. Louton, 86 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Homestead House Sunday morning, April 21, 2019. He was born on February 12, 1933 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Ervin and Edith (Moore) Louton. He received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of California at Berkeley, his master's degree from Chico State University and his PHD from California School of Professional Psychology. Robert and Zoe Willman were married on February 14, 1955 and moved to Beatrice in 1978. He was a psychologist for Blue Valley Mental Health in Beatrice from 1978 until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting stamps and organic gardening.\nSurvivors include his children Bob Louton and wife Sandy of Groton, Mass. and Teresa Grist and husband Simon of Potton, England; 2 grandchildren Zoe Louton, and Carl Louton and wife Mary; 1 great grandson Hugo Louton; sister Elizabeth Henderson of Everett, Washington; and brother in law Howard Willman of California. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Zoe Louton (12-14-2018).\nCelebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Centenary United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Schutt officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Massachusetts. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. Family prayer service will be held at 1:45 PM Saturday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
