Robert P. Hurtz

Robert P. Hurtz, 82 years of age, of R. Barneston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was born in Wymore on October 24, 1933 to Carl and Johanna (Harms) Hurtz, and was a 1951 graduate of Wymore High School. He was a member of the NRA and was an avid gun collector, woodworker, and enjoyed traveling (especially to the western United States).

Survivors include his sister Shirley Harrison and husband Larry Cripe of Lincoln; and nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Johanna (Harms) Hurtz.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Calvary Cemetery in Wymore with Father Corey Harrison officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
