Norman R. Ossowski, age 80, of Blue Springs passed away on November 29, 2018 at the Goldcrest Retirement Center in Adams. He was born in Wymore on April 21, 1938 to Matthew and Velva Mae (Zugmier) Ossowski and attended Blue Springs Public Schools. Norman served his country in the National Guard from 1961 to 1967. He worked as a Secretary/Treasurer for the Gage County Insurance Company. He was a past member of the Wymore Church of Christ but also attended services at the Blue Springs Methodist Church and enjoyed genealogy.\nSurvivors include his brothers, Richard Ossowski and wife Norma of Nebraska City, Robert Ossowski and wife Marlene of Wymore, and Larry Ossowski and wife Beverly of Beatrice; special friend, Larry McPhail of Blue Springs; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Donna Aden.\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with Jon Palmquist officiating. Burial will be at the Blue Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goldcrest Retirement Center with the funeral home in charge.
