Merlyn A. (Ehrlich) Cornelius Weber Obituary (1919 - 2014)

Merlyn A. (Ehrlich) Cornelius Weber, 95 years of age, of Wymore passed away at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center Tuesday morning, June 3, 2014. She was born on April 13, 1919 near Firth, Nebraska to Ernest and Laura (Krauter) Ehrlich. Merlyn and Glen Cornelius were married from 1934 until he passed away in 1975, and she had been married to Martin Weber for a short time before he passed away. She had lived in the Pickrell, Beatrice, Barneston and Wymore areas during her life. Merlyn had been employed at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center as the Activities Director, and had a Ceramics Shop at her home. She was a member of the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wymore. Merlyn enjoyed gardening, flowers, drawing and painting, and ceramics. Survivors include 2 sons, Ronnie Cornelius and wife Adeline of Pickrell, and Larry Cornelius of Wymore; 2 daughters Kay Novotny and husband Terry of Wymore and Janice Warford and special friend Dave Klaus of Barneston; grandchildren LaRay James and husband Ken, Annette Slaven and husband Steve, Joyce Jurgens and husband Bob; Chris Kleveland and husband Dan, Renee' Round and husband Jerome, Cindy Perry and husband James, Donna Jean Edmond, Kim Lovell and special friend Kevin, Julie Packett and husband Todd, Mark Cornelius and wife Cerice, Tammy Bennett and husband David, and Brenda Velte and husband Sean; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Laura (Krauter) Ehrlich; husbands Glen Cornelius and Martin Weber; daughter Loma Cornelius; granddaughter Diane Cornelius; 1 brother and 3 sisters; daughter in law Melba Cornelius; and son in laws Howard Warford and Arthur Lemka. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with Chaplin Sharon Schuster, PMA officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Pickrell. The body will lie in state Friday from 1-9:00 PM and Saturday from 9-1:30 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home.
