Marolyn J. Moore Obituary (1937 - 2015)

Marolyn (Garey) Moore, 78, of Lincoln, formerly of Beatrice, passed away on December 27th, 2015. She was born July 13, 1937 at Oxford, NE to Everett Garey and Mildred (Harlan) Garey. She grew up in Beaver City, graduated in 1955 from Beaver City High School. She attended Hastings College for two years. She worked for the Federal Government, until she moved to Beatrice in 1959 where she worked for the Beatrice National Bank. She married John Moore in 1960. She became a homemaker and later worked for Immigration in Lincoln for 10 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, college and pro football, all Nebraska sports and Nebraska football the most. She attended many games, both home and away. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John Moore of Lincoln; daughter Katharine (Kate) (Mark) Winter, Valparaiso; daughter Kimberly Moore, (Laurie Martinez) and grandson Max, Lincoln; and son Garey (Jane) Moore, grandsons Nicholas and Spencer, Sioux Falls, SD.; brother Everett (Mars) Garey, many nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Garey. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Shelbourn officiating. Burial of her ashes will be held at a later date at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Pickrell. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place.
