Lucille J. "Lucia" Onisk, 86 years of age, of Adams passed away at her home near Adams Tuesday afternoon, January 1, 2019. She was born on August 6, 1932 in Buffalo, New York to Frank and Mary (Kolodzieczyk) Jagodzinski. Lucia and Walter Onisk were married on September 19, 1953 in Buffalo, New York. She had been a bookkeeper for several businesses when they lived in Omaha for 36 years, and then moved to Adams in 2012. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Cortland.\nSurvivors include daughter Dawn Buss and husband Steven of Adams; son Dale Onisk and wife Ann of Conowingo, Maryland; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; and brother Bob Jagodzinski of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter (2014); and sisters Florence and Delores.\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the St. James Catholic Church in Cortland with Father Bradley Zitek officiating. Inurnment will in the Highland Cemetery, Adams. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
