Lloyd "Budge" Heusman Obituary (1938 - 2013)

Lloyd D. "Budge" Heusman, 75 years of age, of Wymore passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice Friday evening, April 26, 2013.He was born on March 15, 1938 in Wymore, was a 1956 graduate of Wymore High School and lived in Wymore his entire life. Budge served his country in the United States Air Force. He and Mary Jane Shoup were married on October 25, 1964 in Wymore. Budge worked for the United States Post office in Wymore since 1963, and served as post master from 1972 until he retired in 1992. He was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Wymore and had served as Senior Warden; played, coached and announced baseball games; and served on the Wymore Board of Education for twelve years and had served as president of the board. He enjoyed Golf, attending and spending time with his son and grandkids, and horse racing. Survivors include his wife Mary Jane; son Matthew Heusman of Lincoln; 2 grandchildren Aidan and Carson Heusman; sister Monnie Ottersberg and husband Harm of Lincoln; brother Richard Heusman and wife Karen of Shawnee, KS; and sister in law Sheri Heusman of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Leola (Stewart) Heusman; and brother Deitrich Heusman. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Wymore with Pastor Gretchen Naugle officiating. Burial of ashes will be in the Wymore Cemetery.
