Leslie L. Adams, 68 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born on August 4, 1949 in Beatrice to Donald and Melba (Grubb) Adams, and was a 1968 graduate of Beatrice High School. Les and Shirley Morrison were married on June 25, 1970, and Les had been employed at Hoover Group in Beatrice for 37 years. He had been a member of the Hoover Group Union, and enjoyed riding his Harley, welding, and collected Bobble Heads and magazines.\n \nSurvivors include his wife Shirley; sister in law Susan Briggs and husband Ronald of Jacksonville, FL; brother in law Richard Morrison of Beatrice; nephew Ronald Briggs of Beatrice; nieces Patty Briggs and Brenda Hinson and husband Mike, all of Jacksonville, FL; 4 great nephews, Tyler and Brandon Hinson, and Michael and Justin Briggs; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Melba (Grubb) Adams.\n \nFuneral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Pastor Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. The body will lie in state Thursday from 11-8:00 PM until the time of the service at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association with the funeral home in charge.
