John D. Noll "Whaley" Obituary (1947 - 2013)

J. D. Noll, age 66 years, also known as James D. Whaley, of Wymore died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. He was born January 30, 1947 at Valentine, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Whaley. He married Virginia Christensen of Kansas City, Kansas on October 24, 1970 and they divorced on October 15, 1975. He later married Marsha Noll and they later divorced. He did road construction, was employed by Rush Sanitation in Beatrice, and resided in Hamburg, Iowa and Nebraska City before moving to Wymore. His hobbies included car races, dancing, collecting afghans, and especially his Cherokee Indian heritage. J. D. is survived by his son, David Whaley and his significant other, Jana Reed of Beatrice; and his daughter, Karyn Fuser and her husband Darron of Kansas City, Kansas; by grandchildren, Daileejo Whaley, Brittany, Tylor, and Kylie Reed; and Natalie and Jackson Fuser; by his former wife, Virginia Christensen; by two foster brothers, Gary Ames and his wife Joanne of Wymore; and Olen Ames and his wife Kathy of Beatrice; and by a foster sister, Alice Layman of Wymore . He was preceded in death by his parents, his foster parents, Melvin "Shorty" and Berneice Ames; and by a sister, Barbara. Memorial service will be planned for a later date. Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, is in charge of arrangements.
