Jeanita L. Pedersen Obituary (1927 - 2012)

Jeanita L. Pedersen, age 85 years, of Wymore died Sunday, Dec. 2,2012 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. She was born June 16, 1927 at Marysville, Kansas to Frank and Ruby (Slama) Stoehr. Jeanita was a 1945 graduate of Marysville High School, and was employed Armor's Chicken in Marysville prior to her marriage. She married Keith E. Pedersen on February 15, 1948 at Marysville. They resided on a farm east of Blue Springs before moving into Wymore. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, small animals, flowers, gardening, and especially embroidery. Jeanita is survived by her husband, Keith; by two daughters, Sherri Bouska and her husband Frank of Omaha; and Kathy Gouge of Arlington Heights, Illinois; by three grandsons, Sean Gouge and his wife Wendy; Nathan and Justin Gouge; by seven great grandchildren, Xavier, Zovian, Natalia, Ryan, Chad, Josh, and Max; by two sisters, Jean Cottrell and her husband Paul of Minden; and Shirley Wiggert and her husband, Don of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; and by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her parents-in-law, Earl and Wilma Pedersen. Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 10th & E Streets, with Pastor Tyler Hauptmeier officiating. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M. in the parish hall of the church. Interment will be at the Wymore Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with her family receiving friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., and then at the church one hour preceding the service.
