Janice A. Herman, 76 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Beatrice Community Hospital Friday morning, December 25, 2020. She was born on April 12, 1944 in Seward, NE. She was a resident at the Beatrice State Developmental Center from 1949 until 1982. Janice then lived at the former Martin Luther Home, and now Mosaic in Beatrice until the time of her passing. Janice is remembered liking to dress up and wear many accessories, liking Sunrise Bakery rolls, and was known to be a prankster and enjoyed it when the staff pranked her.\nThose left to mourn her passing are her Mosaic family, the staff and Janice's fellow residents; and her legal guardian Paul and Julie Hay of Beatrice.\nMemorial Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Reverend Eric Spruth-Janssen officiating. These services will also be Livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page. Masks and social distancing will be required. Inurnment will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place.
