James A. Scarbrough, 54 years of age, of Beatrice died as a result of injuries he received while at work at R&R Truck Sales in Wilber, NE. on Thursday, September 12, 2019. He was born on December 30, 1964 in Vivian, LA to Adrain and Josephine (Mitchell) Scarbrough. Jim grew up and graduated from high school in Texas and had lived in Beatrice for about 10 years. Jim was a heavy machine mechanic and he had also worked at the Nebraska state prison in Tecumseh for 5 years and currently employed by R&R Truck Sales. \nSurvivors include his sisters Brynda Hennings and husband Jon of Paris, TX and Mary Warren and significant other Neil Beaver from Beatrice; and 6 nieces and 4 nephews; and by special friend Helen Wright and her sons David, Sean and Tyler Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.\nCelebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Reverend Greg Stuckwisch officiating.
