Harry A. McDaniel, Jr., age 80 of Wymore passed away on June 3, 2018 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. He was born in Lewiston, Nebraska on February 25, 1938 to Harry A. McDaniel, Sr. and Vivian (Milburn) McDaniel. Harry served his country in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He worked as a pipefitter for Farmland Fertilizer and also enjoyed mechanic work. Harry was a member of the Big Indian Archers where he loved working with the youth archery program. He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid huntsman.\nLeft to mourn his passing is his sister, Margaret Rowell and husband A.C. of Oklahoma City; brother, Patrick McDaniel and wife Candi of Fort Myers, Florida; Robert Rowell, Marliss Rowell, Darin McDaniel and several more nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Raymond.\nGraveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Lewiston Cemetery with Major General Charles Barr officiating. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore on Wednesday, June 6 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
