Greggory Scott Peterson Obituary (1961 - 2015)

Greggory Peterson, 53, of Wymore passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was born on October 15, 1961 in Hastings to Larry 'Pete' and Bonnie Peterson. He was a 1980 graduate of Hastings High School. Gregg served in the Army National Guard from 1981-1988. He was involved with several construction companies, Union Pacific Railroad, and Store Kraft until he retired in 2012. Gregg enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, sports of all kinds, especially football, being with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; Kim Peterson, of Wymore, son; Joshua & Tonya Peterson of Hastings, daughter; Amber & Mike Falls of DuBois, mother; Bonnie Peterson, of Hastings, sisters; Michelle & Gary Kothe, and La Rinda Peterson, both of Hastings, grandchildren; Beaux & Bria Falls of DuBois, mother-in-law; Sharon Bernard of Wymore, brother-in-law; Jeff & Cindy Lytle of Wymore, sister-in-law; Lissa & Paul Lovell of Beatrice, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry 'Pete' Peterson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Wymore with Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state Friday from 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in Gregg's honor with the funeral home in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM Saturday at the church prior to the service.
