Ellen "Ellie" Mills Obituary (1957 - 2013)

Ellen J. "Ellie" Mills, 55 years of age, of Wymore passed away at the Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 2013. She was born on October 22, 1957 in Holton, KS to Melvin and Betty Jean (Miller) Hansen. Ellie was raised Baptist, and enjoyed the outdoors, walking her dog, making beaded jewelry, and all pets and animals. Survivors include 3 daughters, Randi Jo Nelson of Pueblo, CO, Cheryl Nelson-Martin and her husband, and Serin Nelson, all of Craig, CO; mother Betty Jean Hansen of Wymore; 5 Grandchildren; brothers Steve Hansen and wife Mary Ann, of Wymore, and William Hansen and special friend Karen Jenson of Topeka, KS. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Hansen (2013). Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Wymore Cemetery with Pastor Jim Berry officiating. The body will lie in state Wednesday from 1-9:00 PM with the family greeting friends from 6:30-7:30, and Thursday from 9-1:00 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore.
