Edna L. Closs

Edna Louise (Reiff) Closs, 90 years of age, of Buhler Kansas, formerly of Blue Springs, NE died April 5, 2014 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler, Kansas. She was born September 20, 1923 in Blue Springs the daughter of Charles and Mae (Wilson) Reiff. Edna graduated from Blue Springs High School.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Edna was employed by the telephone company as an operator and at Southern High School as a cook.
On December 15, 1947 she was married to Richard William (Bill) Closs in Blair, Nebr. Bill and Edna had two sons, Richard (Dick) and Bill.
She is survived by son Bill and his wife Sharla, grandchildren Tyler, Evan and Troy Closs and his wife Rhawnie.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, son Dick, parents, brothers (Warren, Bill and Richard (Dick)), sisters (Mildred and Marguerite).
Memorial services will be at 1 PM on Saturday, May 17th at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Wymore with Rev. Gretchen Naugle presiding. Burial will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery.
