Blue Springs, Nebraska
Dustin Corey Adams, passed away in Blue Springs, Nebraska on August 26, 2026, at the age of 49. He was born February 22, 1977, in Beatrice, Nebraska. He spent his early childhood in Blue Springs before attending kindergarten through fifth grade in Lincoln. When Dustin began sixth grade he returned to Wymore, where he attended Southern Public Schools and proudly graduated with the Class of 1996. He still holds, with pride, the Southern Football record for the longest field goal at 47 yards.
Dustin married Jonna Vanderfeltz in 1999, and together they welcomed four sons: Drake, Brock, Paxx, and Maverick. Though the marriage later ended, Dustin remained a steadfast and loving father, involved in every part of his boys' lives. In January 2024, Dustin married Kandi Seeman, beginning a new chapter filled with partnership and family.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Dustin spent many years employed with Burlington Railroad, followed by time at Nebco, and later found great enjoyment driving semi for Farmer's Co-op. He took pride in his work and the people he met along the way.
Dustin's greatest joy came from his sons. Whether hunting or fishing with Maverick or cheering/ yelling from the bleachers at countless games, Dustin was always present - coaching, supporting, and celebrating every milestone. His life revolved around being a dad, and he poured his heart into it.
Dustin is survived by his wife, Kandi; his sons, Drake Adams (fiancée Lexi Pokorny), Brock Adams (Maddie Wegner), Paxx Adams, and Maverick Adams, and their mom, Jonna (Travis) Arnold, all of Wymore; and his stepsons, Devan (Emily) Ideus and their daughter Brinely of Wymore, and Xander Seeman of Blue Springs. He is also survived by his brothers, Max (Janet) Adams of Lincoln and Rex (Jodi) Adams of Blue Springs; his biological mother, JoAnn (Bill) Arington of Table Rock; biological father, Roger (Lecia) Dorn, sister-in-law Krystal (Tony) Jackson of Milford; beloved dog, Rosie; half brothers, Jason and Josh Arington and Bubba Dorn and Damien Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by Lyle and Lois Adams; his brother, Jay Adams; and nephew, Jordan Murphy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026 at the Wymore Church of Christ with Rev. Jim Ernst officiating. A family prayer service will begin at 9:45 AM.
