Delmer N. Ideus Obituary (1936 - 2012)

Delmer N. Ideus, 76 years of age, of Beatrice, formerly of Odell passed away at the Beatrice Manor Care Center Monday morning, September 10, 2012. He was born on March 8, 1936 at Beatrice to Siebend and Sena (Giesman) Ideus and attended school in Beatrice. Delmer had lived in California until moving back to Beatrice in 1985. He and Shirley Murray were married on August 17, 2002 and they lived in Odell until she passed away in 2011. Delmer then moved to Beatrice. He had worked at the Beatrice 77 Livestock Sales until he retired in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his sister Lois Fossler of Beatrice; 3 nephews Eugene Fossler of St. Louis, Richard Fossler and wife Barbara of Holland, NE., and Wayne Ideus and wife Patti of Lawrence, KS.; and sister in law Josephine Eden and husband Marvin of Beatrice. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (2011); parents Siebend and Sena Ideus; an infant sister; brothers Melvin and Vernon; and brother in law Evert Fossler. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Evergreen Home Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Delmar Wiemers officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
