Dale E. Pyle

Dale E. Pyle, age 66, of Wymore passed away on September 4, 2016 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln. He was born on January 1, 1950 to Duane and Dorothy (Hardenbrook) Pyle in Beatrice. Dale attended Wymore High School before joining the United States Navy on October 2, 1967. He served the Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on November 15, 1968. He worked in the construction industry. Dale was married to Lorilie Ropers from 1973 to 2001. From this marriage, three children were born: Bradley, Corey, and Shelly. On December 4, 2003, Dale married Mindy Wathor. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War, and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, grilling, and playing cards, but above all, he loved his family. His grandchildren were the lights of his life.

Dale is survived by his wife, Mindy; children, Bradley (Tia) Pyle of Virginia, Corey Pyle of Holmesville, and Shelly Franzen of Holmesville; step-children, Kyle Wathor of Wymore and Dustin Dorn of Wymore; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Norm) Fritz of Falls City, and Sandi (Gary) Gridley of Lincoln; and brother, Steve Pyle of Wymore. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; infant brother, Harold; and brother-in-law, Michael Wathor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Wymore with Jon Palmquist officiating. Interment will be at the Blue Springs Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the Anderson Post #25, American Legion in Wymore and the United States Navy. A family prayer service will be held at 12:45 PM Tuesday in the church fellowship hall. A memorial has been established to the family with the funeral home in charge.
