Craig M. Weyers, 35 years of age, of Lewiston, NE passed away at the Beatrice Community Hospital on Friday afternoon, January 4, 2019. Craig was surrounded by his family and passed away from complications due to his longtime addiction. He was born on June 2, 1983 in Lincoln to Michael and Judy (Wehrbein) Weyers. Craig was a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School. Craig and Ashley Ray were married on June 5, 2010. He had been employed at Roehr's Machinery as an Irrigation Tech for 5 years before illness forced him to retire. Craig was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Filley; member of the United Rodeo Association where he won the 2002 URA Bull Riding championship and member of the IRA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, fireworks, watching football and watching squirrels, Redneck Golfing, Summer time, and singing songs with his kids.\nSurvivors include his wife Ashley; children Carleigh Weyers, Tristen Ray, and Grady Weyers; parents Michael Weyers of Crab Orchard and Judy Weyers and special friend Dwayne Landon of Beatrice; siblings Jill Sasse and husband Brian of Vesta, NE, Brian Weyers and wife Chanae of Beatrice, and Amy Heideman and special friend Cody Creek of Crab Orchard; grandmother Carol Wehrbein of Beatrice; parents in law Jeff and Pam Ray of Wymore; brother in law Tyler Ray and wife Liz of Windsor, CO; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Evelyn and LeRoy Weyers and Gerald Wehrbein; and uncles Dean Weyers and Howard Wehrbein.\nCelebration Of Life services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the American Lutheran Church in Filley with Reverend LuRae Hallstrom officiating. Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery. The body will lie in state Tuesday from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30, and at the church one hour preceding the service on Wednesday. A family prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
