Collins Long Neumann, age 86 of Lincoln passed away on April 21, 2019 at the Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln. He was born in Central City, Colorado on May 7, 1932 to Gustave and Doris (Bradley) Neumann. He served his country in the United States Army from October 29, 1951 until October 7, 1953. After his service, he worked as a bookkeeper for Bookstrum Construction and was a ballroom dance instructor. Collins loved animals, poetry and dance.\nSurvivors include his brother-in-law, Larry Behrends; nieces and nephews, Bradley B. Neumann of Winlock, WA, Mark (Gwen) Behrends of Lincoln, Laurie (Mike) Cudney of Shawnee, KS, and Russell (Becky) Behrends of Beatrice; several great nieces and nephews; cousins, Clarence Bradley of Beatrice, Beverly Hartwig of Arizona, and Dorothy Fryer of Norfolk, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Courtney Neumann, Anita Neumann, Carleton Neumann, and Charmain Behrends.\nCollins will be laid to rest at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice along with his beloved brother, Carleton who passed away on September 27, 2016.\nThese services have been entrusted to the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice.
