Bud W. Wagner Obituary (1943 - 2014)

Bud W. Wagner, 70 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at Beatrice Health and Rehab Center Monday afternoon, November 24, 2014. He was born on December 21, 1943 in Omaha. Buddy lived and worked at the Beatrice State Developmental Center his entire life. Buddy was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice. He enjoyed bowling, toy cars, riding the bumper cars at the county fair, and watching westerns on TV. He especially enjoyed serving as an altar boy for catholic mass at the Beatrice State Developmental Center for many years. Survivors include his aunt Helen Wagner of Omaha; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the Omaha area; his adopted family including Janice Oden of Beatrice; and Duane, Richard and Gary Oden; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father Irene and Wayne Albert; and special friends Scott Oden and Roy Oden. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2014 the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice with Father Robert Barnhill officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The body will lie in state Friday from 10-9:00 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the funeral home in charge. A Scriptural Prayer service will be held at 7:00 Friday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel.
