Arline L. Thornburg, 53 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Werner Cancer Center in Omaha on Monday evening, December 2, 2019. She was born on February 21, 1966 in Manila, Philippines to Dominador and Elegia (Ebo) Labatagos. Arline was a 1983 graduate of Sibonga Provincial High School and a 1991 graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She moved to the United States from Manila in 1999 and worked at the Homestead House for 16 years. She was a cook at Paddock Lane Elementary School and the PEO Home at the time of her passing. Arline was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had at one point worked in childcare at the church. She enjoyed singing karaoke, traveling with her daughter, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and animals Spunky and Tweety. Arline will always be remembered by her continuous smile, joy, laughter, and strength.\nSurvivors include daughter Angela M. Thornburg of Beatrice; brother Arnold Labatagos (Delora) of Philippines; sister Airian Buhr (Steve) of Beatrice; 1 nephew and 1 niece; cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.\nMass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM Friday, December 6, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Robert Barnhill officiating. Burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The body will lie in state 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the family greeting friends from 5:30-6:30 PM, and after 9:30 AM Friday at the church. Scriptural prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial is established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
