Angie Dittmann Obituary (1920 - 2015)

Angeline "Angie" Dittmann, 95 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the PEO Home in Beatrice Sunday morning, June 21, 2015. She was born on June 16, 1920 at Franklin, KS to Orlando and Jacunda (Seglie) Paffi, and graduated from high school in Frontenac, KS in 1938. Angie and Joe L. Dittmann were married on November 10, 1942 in Kansas. She had worked with Joe while he managed J.M. McDonald stores. She has lived in Beatrice since they moved from Omaha in 1965. Angie was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice; PEO Chapter FM; and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter Patti Ann Dittmann of Lincoln; son Joe Lee Dittmann II and wife Susie of Houston; grandchildren Joe Lee Dittmann III and wife Silvia of New York, and Lisa Lee Meyer and husband Shane of Dallas; great grandchildren Joe Lee Dittmann IV, Lucie Dittmann, Logan Meyer, and Gracie Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe L. Dittmann (2000); and brother James Paffi. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the PEO Home in Beatrice with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Shelbourn officiating. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society with the funeral home in charge.
