Andrew R. McLellan

Andrew R. "Andy" McLellan, 48 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, July 9, 2013. He was born on May 26, 1965 in Scottsbluff, NE. to Alvin and Patricia (Jinks) McLellan. Andy graduated from the Pine Ridge Job Corps in Chadron, NE and lived in the Fairbury and Beatrice areas most of his life. He and Teresa Bishop were married, and later divorced. He had been employed at Farmland in Crete and at American Tool in DeWitt before he became disabled. He had been a member of the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Fairbury. Andy enjoyed computers, Led Zeppelin and Kiss music, and especially loved being with his granddaughters, and was a DIEHARD Husker fan.

Survivors include his daughter Michelle Kuhn; son Zachary McLellan, both of Beatrice; 2 granddaughters Kadence and Khloe O'Keefe; his father Alvin McLellan and step mother Sondra of DeWitt; mother Patricia McLellan of Scottsbluff; sister Shawn Garcia of Myrtle Beach, SC; step sisters Sherry Tyser and husband Gene of Wilber and Nancy Schmidt and husband Russ of Jansen, NE; and step brother Rick Mangus and wife Teri of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Andy's family is hosting a celebration of life reception from 1-3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Sertoma cabin at Chautauqua Park in Beatrice. The family requests that no black be worn, so please wear your HUSKER shirts, or colors, like Andy would have wanted. A memorial has been established to the family to help with final expenses and may be directed with cards to Michelle Kuhn, 1217 South 8th Street, Beatrice, Nebraska, 68310.
