Alice G. Riggert of Beatrice passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice Tuesday afternoon, April 24, 2018. She was born on November 1, 1921 near Odell, NE to Fred and Karolyn (Adam) Riggert. She was baptized as an infant and also confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Bremen, KS. She received her primary education at Bethlehem Lutheran School and graduated from Odell High School. Alice was employed by the Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company, Evansville, IN for three years and then was an employee for Gage County Clerk's Office for 40 years and retired as the Deputy County Clerk in 1986. She later worked at St. Paul's Luthern School. Alice was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beatrice and was a member of the Ruth Circle and the Altar Guild.\nSurvivors include several generations of nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Karolyn (Adam) Riggert; brothers Edwin, Alfred & Paul Riggert; and sisters Elsie Oldehoeft, Martha Schardt, Lillian Rathbun, Agnes Sohl, Ruby Riggert, and Clara Stevens.\nFuneral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Tim Brisbois officiating. Interment will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery, Bremen, KS. The body will lie in state Friday from 1-8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice and at the church one hour preceding the services on Saturday.
